A FEW COMMENTS FROM THE AUTHOR
I could have called this book "Fun with Figures" but that would take away the seriousness of the subject matter and the principles revealed here. These techniques have been developed over a period spanning three decades. Nestled between these techniques are fun mathematical puzzles to keep the readers engaged. The focus of this book is on some secret and unconventional techniques to help you understand and feel more comfortable with Maths.
This book has been written primarily for two categories of people –one, students who find Maths as something to be avoided, and second, for those with interest in Maths and who want to excel in their capabilities. Both types will have fun going through the book –with a good number of fungames and brain teasers interleaved between the chapters. Irrespective –any one who reads it will be exposed to some of the hitherto unwritten and patented secrets of calculations.
I have presented TV programs –briefly touching upon the principles discussed in the book and demonstrating how everyone can increase his/her calculation speed –and have fun along the way.
This will prove to be a boon for Higher Secondary students, Selective School aspirants and anyone with interest in understanding the intricacies of Mathematical Sciences.
